1. How do I add my property to bhhomseller.com?
To add your property, call us at 728-5303 or click the "SELL" button.
There you will be able to download the forms needed to advertise your
home with us.
2. How do I receive my HomeSeller workbook & lawn signs? Bargain
Hunter HomeSeller yard signs & workbook will be shipped out to you
via STC depot to depot once payment has been received. Your yard sign
will have your phone number on it already to post on your lawn.
3. If I decide to advertise my home with Bargain Hunter HomeSeller, how do I pay for it?
We do accept Visa/Mastercard/Amex as forms of payment along with money
order & bank drafts. (No personal cheques please). On the
advertising info sheet for your property, it will ask for this
information. You will need to fill it in and mail or fax it to us
at 306-728-5412 or mail to Bargain Hunter Box 548, Melville, SK S0A 2P0.
4. How do I supply pictures of my property?
The workbook has a guide for picture taking - follow these steps for
better picture quality. We do require all pictures to be no larger than
100kb each with minimum resolution of 72dpi x 72dpi in jpg or png
format. Once you have taken pictures of your property, you can email
them to us or mail to the address above.
5. Once signed up, when can I expect my property to be on the internet and in the Bargain Hunter?
Our deadline for any new HomeSeller sign up is Wednesday at 2pm for the
following Tuesday Bargain Hunters and internet advertising. If we
receive it after the deadline it will not be included in the following
Tuesday Bargain Hunter or internet - ie: you submitted Friday Feb 8th,
it will be advertised in the Bargain Hunter and on the internet for
Tuesday Feb 19.
6. What if I don't sell within six months?
Bargain Hunter HomeSeller will continue to advertise your property on
our site for an additional 6 months if you have not sold it. But you
must let us know at the end of six months if you require this extra time.
7. Will you wait for picture before my property is advertised?
We will not advertise your property until we have pictures as we
require them for the print advertising as well as for the website. So
be sure to get those to us as soon as possible along with your property
details.
8. I received an email from a buyer outside of Canada. What should I do?
Reply to the email and ask for the buyers daytime phone number so you
can contact them to discuss the purchase. A legit buyer will have no
problem giving this information to you. Anyone that doesn't want to
give you their phone number is probably just wasting your time. Any
cheques you receive from your buyer should be made out to your lawyer
"in trust". Deposits should be forwarded directly to your lawyer and the
payout from the sale of your house is made from your lawyers trust
account to you. A buyer who offers to send you more than what you are
asking & wants you to return the difference should be treated as
suspicious. If you are unsure about any transaction, consult your
lawyer.
